Message from the Grand Knight

Greetings Brother Knights and Ladies,

The end is near.

The end of the year. For me, the last month of the year is a reflective time; a time for taking stock of what I am doing with the time allotted to me. God gave me 365 days this year. How did I use that time. Did I use that time selfishly—thinking only of myself and what I want? Or did I use that time to serve God by loving and serving others.

The last month of the year also gives me hope. Hope is humble confidence that God Won’t give up on me.

Hope is a spiritual muscle. But like all muscles, it must be exercised just to survive. In other words “Use It Or Lose It”.

That’s why each year the Church gives us a season of Hope, which we call Advent. This year Advent begins Sunday December 3rd.

After Advent comes Christmas. On Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Our challenge during this month of the year is to KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS. If you listen to all the advertisements going on you’d think that Christmas is the time to buy, buy, buy. The commercial world tells us to buy this, buy that, buy an expensive gift to show people that you love them. God freely gave us His Son, Jesus to us to show us that He loves us. Let’s show Jesus that we love Him by trying to become more like Him. Let’s KEEP CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS.

Merry CHRISTmas to all brother Knights and ladies

None of us can do everything–but we can all do something.
