What’s Happening

  • Fish /Chicken Fry Our last fish fry of the season is Friday April 7th. This is the KC Council fish fry. Members of our Council and their wives and or girlfriends (regardless of the parish you are members of) are asked to help.  Serving from 4 PM till 7 PM. We need help in the dinning room, kitchen and and fry room. We also need members to help with the clean up. Come on out and help your Council.  Your help would be very much appreciated.
  • Stop Abortion. On the east side of Interstate 55, going north, just before the Cape Exit you will see many wooden crosses. This is called the “Cemetery of The Innocent”. The local Knights of Columbus Councils take turns mowing that cemetery. Our Council’s turn to mow the cemetery is the months of May and October. We mow and weed-eat. Just one small part we do as Knights to let others know that abortion is murder and abortion offends God. If you are willing to help us in May and/or October please contact me –Gary Ziegler–at -573-576-6451. Thanks

Don’t Run away. On June 7th we will have election of officers. Now is the time to let us know that you are willing to take your turn and serve your Knights of Columbus Council as an officer. Seems like some brother Knights think that they don’t have to become an officer that someone else will do it.

This reminds me of a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it,

but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Don’t run away from a chance to serve as an officer in our Council. We need you.
