Theon “Peck” Robert

Peck passed away peacefully on November 3, 2020. Born March 13, 1934 to Elva and Anna Robert, Peck was a lifelong resident of Kelso, MO. Married to Germaine (Dirnberger) Robert for 61 years, they raised five sons. David and Debbie (Abbott) Robert, James and Jill (Hill) Robert, John and Stephanie (Meert) Robert, Mike and Gina (Arnold) Robert, Mark and Monica (Abernathy) Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Leo Robert, brother-in-law Clyde Dirnberger and sister-in-law Mary (Dirnberger) Hess.

Peck co-owned and operated Kelso Milling Company for 36 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Augustine Church his entire life where he was a former President of the Parish Council and Men’s Club. He was active in the community and volunteered often. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #6420 since 1952 where he was a Past Grand Knight, he was a Fourth Degree Knight of St. Joseph Council #2283 and a member of the Color Honor Guard. For many years, he managed the rental of the KC Hall. Since 2003, he volunteered at Southeast Health and greeted everyone entering the hospital. Mr. Robert served in the National Guard and loved music and was a member of the Goldtone’s Band.

He is survived by his wife Germaine, their five sons and eight grandchildren; Christopher Robert, Austin Robert, Thomas Robert, Samantha Robert, Carye Moses, Damaris Mills, Dalton Bronenkant, Garrett Bronenkant, five great-grandchildren; Stone Moses, Olivia Robert, Sophia Robert, Meelah Mills and Noah Mills. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Lolly Robert, Carnetta VonderHaar, Francine Dirnberger and Margie Dirnberger, brothers-in-law Don VonderHaar, Linus Dirnberger and Vernon Dirnberger.

Peck had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making wooden doll beds and playing cards with friends and family.
