            Mow My Grass: October is our KC Council’s turn to mow the grass at the Cemetery of The Innocent.This is the place where you see all those white crosses along the interstate as you go into Cape on

I-55 from the south.  I know most of you own lawn mowers. If you are willing to take a stand against abortion by helping us mow the grass at the Cemetery Of The Innocent in October please contact me

            Tootsie Roll Drive: The 46th Annual Tootsie Roll Drive will be held Friday October 6, Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th. This is a special campaign for people with Intellectual Disabilities sponsored by the Knights of Columbus. It is a way in which the Knights help God’s special people. Please help us help them. If you are willing to help us help them please contact Butch Bader at 573-545-3289

 

            Columbus Day Banquet: On October 22nd we will have our annual Columbus Day Banquet. Happy Hour will be from 5PM to 6 PM. The meal will be served at 6 PM. All KC members and their families are invited. We also invite the wives of our deceased KC members. At the banquet we will award members Years of Service Pins, Knights of the month and families of the month certificates. A Knight of the Year and a Family of the Year, chosen by our members, will be awarded a plaque in recognition of their service to the Knights of Columbus, their Church and their Community.

Black Light Trivia: Join the Knights of Columbus as we raise money for Special Olympics on Friday October 27th.  Doors will open at 5:30 PM and Trivia starts at 7 PM. This is not your normal trivia night. We plan on having some of our athletes present to speak about the program. There will be food for sale and a cash bar. No outside food or drinks allowed. Cost is $20 per player if reserved and paid in advance by Oct 19th  or  $25 after that.  We will have 50/50 and silent auctions. Any questions please contact Brian Ziegler at 573-450-4902.

Stuff-A-Truck: On Saturday November 4th we will have a “Stuff-A-Truck” day. We invite everyone to bring canned food or other non perishable food items to the Scott City KC hall between 10 AM and Noon. There will be a truck there that we hope to fill with food items. These items will be donated to the Scott City and St Denis food pantry.

 

            Deceased Members Mass: This year our Deceased Members Mass will be Wednesday November 15th  at 7:00 PM at St. Augustine Church in Kelso. We will pray for and honor our deceased KC members and deceased Ladies Auxiliary members. . Everyone—members, non members, adults, children and families—are invited

 

          Sausage Breakfast: On Sunday November 26 we will have a pancake/sausage breakfast. Serving will be from 7:30 AM till 10:30 AM. Price will be $7 for adults, $3.50 fro ages 7 to 12 and free for those 6 and under. Fresh KC made (uncooked) bulk or linked sausage will be available for order @$3.00 per pound. To order sausage contact Gary at 573-576-6451. We will need workers. Please call or text Brian if you are willing to help at the sausage breakfast—Oh come on—you can do it. Thanks

 Brother Knight Paul Boyd is serving with the National Guard in Kuwait. We pray that  God will be with him, keep him safe and bring him back to us soon..
