Anthony A.J. Schott

Anthony “A.J.” Schott, son of the late John Schott Sr. and Catherine Burger Schott was born on October 28, 1935 in Oran, Missouri and departed his life on Monday, August 15, 2022 at his residence in Kelso, Missouri at the age of 86.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a former Railroad Conductor for Cotton Belt railway.  Mr. Schott was an avid fastpitch softball player and coach who passed on his love of the sport to his children.  He was a member of the Knight of Columbus and Saint Augustine Catholic Church.

On November 24, 1960 he was united in marriage to Helen Mae Ressel in Kelso, Missouri.  Mrs. Schott survives of the home in Kelso.

Besides his wife, survivors include one son, Jeff (Angie) Schott of Kelso; one daughter, Sandy (Robert) Greer of Benton; one brother, Melvin (Pat) Schott of New Hamburg; one sister, Betty (Glen) Debrock of Delta; four grandchildren; Dani (Logan) Stoddard of Republic, Missouri, Austin (Jordan) Greer of Gladstone, Missouri, Britney (Curtis) Ackman of Jackson; and Mariah Schott of Cape Girardeau; also by six great-grandchildren, Haden Stoddard, Adalyn Stoddard, Stetson Stoddard, Lincoln Greer, Kade Ackman, and Kai Ackman.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Steve Schott, one brother, John Schott.
