Harold Clemens Menz

Harold Menz, son of the late Clemens F. and Loretta A. Westrich Menz was born on September 28, 1939 in New Hamburg, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 82 years.

He was the owner and President of Menz Farm and Grain Supply, Incorporated, a major pork producer in the Midwest for many years as well as a grain farmer, and beef producer.  Harold was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, St. Joseph Men’s Sodality, member of the Council 6420 Knights of Columbus, and a Veteran of the United States Army Reserve.

On November 28, 1959 he was united in marriage to Jean Catherine Essner at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee.  Mrs. Menz survives of the home in New Hamburg.

Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters, Cheryl (Doug) Johnson of New Hamburg and Karen (David) Harper of New Hamburg; one son, Doug (Ann) Menz of New Hamburg; one brother, Richard (Judy) Menz of Sikeston; also, by four grandchildren, Allison (Chad) Fodge, Kristin Harper Tyra, Brett (Rachel) Harper, and Grant Menz; and five great-grandchildren, Harper Tyra, Sophie Fodge, Reagan Tyra, Easton Fodge, and Owen Harper.

Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Menz.
