Marvin “POP” LeGrand

Marvin LeGrand, son of the late Zeno Frank LeGrand and Marena Anna Scherer LeGrand was born on May 22, 1932 in Benton, Missouri and departed this life at his residence in Chaffee, Missouri on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the age of 88 years.

Mr. LeGrand retired on January 4, 1996 from the United States Postal Service in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War, and a seventeen-year member of the Army National Guard. Marvin also graduated from St. Louis School of Chiropractic in 1957, was a member of St. Ambrose Men’s club where he served as treasurer for 20 years, Knights of Columbus in Scott City, Missouri, Chaffee V.F.W Post 3127, Elks Lodge in Chaffee, and member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Marvin also Graduated from St. Louis School of Chiropractic in 1957.  Pop enjoyed a life time of organic gardening and being outdoors.

On November 29, 1958 he was united in marriage to Anna Marie Tucker. Mrs. LeGrand preceded him in death on March 19, 2007.

Survivors include one son, Joseph (Peter) LeGrand of Cape Coral, Florida, by three daughters, Nancy (JD) Tollison- Chaffee, Judith (Eddie) Lipe of Tamms, Illinois, and Geralyn LeGrand of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Jacob Carr, Kelsey Tollison, and Katie (Joe) Coffee; also by one great-grandchild on the way.

Mr. LeGrand was preceded in death by three sisters: Anita Hinkebein, Virginia LeGrand, Charlotte LeGrand; and one brother: Elmer LeGrand.
